Among the world's finest museum spaces, The Natural History Museum offers several very different but equally memorable galleries as venues for evening and daytime events. Offering professional event management, technical facilities and catering services, the museum also provides one of the most enchanting and memorable venues available in London.
The largest of the museum's galleries and without doubt one of the most prestigious settings for an evening event available. Stunning architecture includes a soaring vaulted ceiling, intricately carved terracotta arches, a grand stone staircase and a beautiful mozaic floor. Central Hall can accommodate 150 - 650 guests for dinner, with dancing either in the same room or the adjoining North Hall.
The Earth Galleries provide a dynamic, modern setting and an extremely popular venue ever since opening. Ideally suited to parties, dinners or product launches for up to 450 guests, the Earth Galleries boast a dramatic, soaring atrium with 18 metre high slate walls etched with depictions of the night sky, and a central escalator passing through a giant symbolic Earth.
The Darwin Centre is home to the museum's extensive zoology collection and provides a fascinating venue for dinners, receptions and evening presentations for up to 100. Tours can also be arranged giving guests a unique glimpse into the scientific world behind the scenes of the public Museum. Other galleries available for hire include the Jerwood Gallery and the famous Whale Hall, perfect for dinners for up to 50 or receptions for up to 200.
Among the spaces available for daytime hire is the Fletts Events Theatre, a fully equipped, 209 seat venue perfect for presentations or lectures. The elegant, naturally lit Spencer Gallery is an extremely flexible space that works equally well in theatre, boardroom or dinner layouts for up to 180 delegates. Daytime events at the Museum offer the added attraction of a fascinating location for delegates to explore the during breaks.
